Home cocina colombiana was born 13 years ago when I first arrived to Canada.

There, wanting to eat an arepa I realized that there is not much knowledge about Colombian cuisine. There also is very little is known about my country. Seeing this and also missing the food so much, I returned to Colombia with a new goal, to finish my Gastronomy studies at the University of La Sabana.

Once I graduated I worked to acquire experience in different national and international restaurants.

I returned to Canada, Vancouver specifically with a clear objective, to show Colombia through food; though I wanted to show everything Colombia had to offer. I decided to start with two of our most recognized products, arepas and empanadas.

Our Story

My goal has always been to show that Colombia is more than the common stereotypes. Colombia is vibrant in it’s music, colours and traditions. Colombia is represented by its beautiful people and our delicious cuisine.

I am here fulfilling my dream through what I enjoy doing the most, which is cooking. Nothing brings me more joy than to offer you a little taste of my country through my passion.
